Reconnecting
Yesterday I called one of my old friends who I hadn't talked or written to in over 8 years. When I lived in Venezuela in the early 80's she was a good friend of mine and we stayed in touch even after she moved to Argentina and I moved back to the U.S. I also visited her in 1988 because my parents were working in that part of the world.
But as luck would have it, I lost her address and was never able to get in touch with her. I finally found her dad's address and phone number by looking through an Argentinian online phone book. A couple of calls later I was in touch with her and we spoke for a good 20 minutes.
Reconnecting with old friends and loved ones is a cool thing. I've often wondered where some of my other childhood friends are and how they're doing. Sometimes you just need to put your life on hold and pick up the phone.

I think that is awesome! I have been thinking about some of my friends from high school latley and wondering where they are -- those reunion sites are pretty lame and none of the people I really want to talk to are registered. I hope you two stay in touch for a long time!
